The HDR oboe gouger is derived from the classic Graf design, with brass carriage and guide, anodized base and posts, and side adjustment slide. The Guide is custom ground to accommodate specific blade curves, this machine has the standard J+2 curve.
Since we have several of these in stock, this machine is #198, barely visible on the Harvard double Reeds manufacturer sticker.
This machine is in excellent preowned condition, although we are unsure of the longevity of the blade. We made sure that it feels sharp and gouges at the usual .58-.60 center measurement.
The current price for this machine, new, is $2492.95 plus shipping and handling, if you can even get one, since according to their website they are currently experiencing significant delays in manufacturing.
