Made by German manufacturer Reeds 'n Stuff, this clever tool sucks the water out of the octave keys without noise or disassembly, excellent for use mid performance or in critical moments.
The Octafree works by blocking the bore of the instrument below the octave vents. Now when you inhale through the tool with the affected key open (1st, 2nd, or 3rd octave) the air pulls the moisture from inside the octave vents up through the Octafree and into the filter inside the mouthpiece.
For all the Oboe Moms and Dads out there, it's like a NoseFrida but for oboes, but not as gross.
